10 bodies found in a deep pit northwest of Mexico

UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY NEWS) — Volunteer researchers have found 10 bodies in a deep pit in the desert near the city of Puerto Penasco, northwestern Mexico.

The state prosecutor, Sonora, said in a statement on Sunday that authorities had been informed of the bodies in the pit from a group of volunteers called “mothers searching” trying to find the missing people.

The statement pointed out that 10 bodies were found in the pit, which is located close to the US border.

He said the number of bodies found in the area since last October had risen to 52.

Drug gangs, kidnappings, deep pits are used to dispose of the bodies of victims or opponents.

Puerto Penasco, also called Rocky Point, is located on the Gulf of California, also known as the Sea of ​​Cortez.
