UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY) – At least two people died as a result of the crash of the C-130 military transport plane in Georgia in the United States, told RIA Novosti deputy district forensic expert Tiffany Williams.
“Yes, we confirm two (dead.” – Ed.),” said Williams.
In turn, the press service of the National Guard of the United States RIA Novosti reported that on board the aircraft were five people.
“During the training mission C-130 Hercules, the cargo plane of the National Guard of Puerto Rico, on board were five people, crashed near 11:30 am today near the Savannah-Hilton Head International Airport,” the press- service.
According to media reports, the plane fell after take-off a few miles from the airport. Correspondent of the TV channel reported that the traffic was stopped not only by roads in the fall area, but also by the railway branch in the area.
The C-130 Hercules is the main tactical transport aircraft for many countries of the world. The total capacity of the aircraft is more than 90 soldiers or about 60 paratroopers.
