IRAN (OBSERVATORY) – In Iran, the earthquake affected at least 40 people. This is reported by the local ISNA agency. The magnitude of the earthquake was 5.2.
As noted in the message, the earthquake occurred in the province of Kochgiluye and Boyerahmed in the south-west of the country. As a result, in some cities of the province, mobile communications stopped working.
The houses were also damaged, especially in the villages.
As reported in emergency services, the epicenter of the earthquake was at 8 km depth. Employees of emergency services asked people to leave their homes. Seven villages were also evacuated.
As told in the emergency services, the earthquake did not affect the supply of electricity to the houses, as well as telephone communications.
As the doctors told, most of the victims are in good condition. Only two victims received fractures and were transferred to the operating room. In the emergency services noted that it is not yet known about the victims of the earthquake.
The interlocutor of the agency noted that most people in the settlements did not sleep and left their homes during the earthquake.
