52 injured in a plane crash after landing in Istanbul

UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY NEWS) — A Turkish plane has crossed the runway during landing at Istanbul’s Sabiha Gokcen airport on Wednesday, causing it to crash, the Hurriyet newspaper reported.

Turkish media showed footage of the plane after it crashed and some passengers were evacuated. CNN Turk quoted the Minister of Transport as saying that the accident did not result in deaths.

NTV reported that the plane had taken off from the western Izmir region.
