80 missiles fired from Gaza in Israel in two days

UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY NEWS) — Palestinian radicals from the Gaza Strip fired at least 80 missiles on Israel on Sunday and Monday, more than 70 of them were intercepted.

This was reported by the press service of the IDF.

“More than 80 missiles have been fired from the Gaza Strip over Israeli territory in the past two days. The Iron Dome air defense system intercepted 90% of the launches,” the military said in a statement.

The air-raid sirens have repeatedly been triggered during this time in the cities of Ashkelon and Sderot in southern Israel, as well as in areas bordering the Gaza Strip. No casualties have been reported as a result of the shelling, Israeli State Radio Kan points out.

In response, on Monday night, the Israeli Air Force attacked military targets of the Islamic Jihad group south of Damascus in Syria, as well as dozens of objects of this group throughout the Gaza Strip during the day.
