SAUDI ARABIA (OBSERVATORY) – Saudi Arabia’s air defense forces intercepted a ballistic missile fired by Yemeni rebels over Riyadh, Western media reported on Wednesday.
According to media reports, the aim of the rebels was the Ministry of Defense of the Kingdom.
The media recalls that the insurgents have recently stepped up rocket attacks on Saudi Arabia as retaliation for the air strikes of the Arab coalition led by Riyadh across the territory of Yemen.
In particular, on April 5 it was reported that Saudi Arabia’s air defense systems succeeded in intercepting a ballistic missile that was launched at the warehouses of the largest Saudi oil company Saudi Aramco in the south-west of the country.
In addition, on April 3, Yemeni rebel Host fired at a Saudi tanker in the Red Sea.
