Albania reports first death from coronavirus

US, WASHINGTON (NEWS OBSERVATORY) — Marked the first coronavirus fatality in Albania.

It is learned that he has passed away the elderly infected with the deadly virus, who was staying at the Durres Hospital.

The 73-year-old left for Tirana shortly before the emergency, but returned to resuscitation at Durres Hospital after being in poor health and unable to afford the trip.

She stayed at the Durres Hospital for seven days, suspected of infecting many others with the deadly virus, after being treated for severe pneumonia the first few days, and only confirmed yesterday that she had been infected with coronavirus, isolating herself.

Just four days ago, she felt worse about being hospitalized again. The woman and family members told doctors she had trouble breathing and they had her bed with two other patients in the room.

During this time, her family and two other patients entered and exited the room, significantly increasing the risk that others might be infected.

There are also fears that the woman is also infected by members of the hospital’s medical staff. For this reason, the directorate ordered some of them to be sent home.

Journalist Leonidha Musaj reports to abcnews.a l that the woman first appeared at the Sanatorium in Tirana about two weeks ago with chronic health concerns.

There he received the answer that they could not handle it. Afterwards, the woman left for Italy, where she again found no cure.

After returning, she went to the Durres hospital where she was suspected to have infected many others.

We recall that this is the second Albanian coronavirus victim, after another Albanian is confirmed to have died in Italy.
