Alert sirens for the second time this evening in southern Israel

UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY NEWS) — The air-raid sirens on Sunday for the second time this evening triggered in the city of Ashkelon in southern Israel, warning residents of a possible missile attack from the Gaza Strip. This was informed by the army press service.

“The air-raid sirens worked in the city of Ashkelon,” the report said.

Palestinian radicals previously fired 20 missiles from the Gaza Strip into Israel, 10 of which were intercepted by the Iron Dome air defense system.

On the same day, according to the Yediot Aharonot newspaper , Israeli soldiers shot dead two Palestinians installing an explosive device near the southern border between the Gaza Strip and Israel.

The previous time, Palestinian radicals fired from the Gaza Strip into Israel on February 12. In response, the Israeli military attacked several Hamas posts.
