All schools closed in Italy


The Italian government decided to temporarily close schools and universities in the country due to the outbreak of a new coronavirus.

The date from which this measure will be effective is not reported. According to local media, the Italian cabinet is planning to close all educational institutions either from March 5th or from the 9th.

It is noted that quarantine in schools and universities will be valid at least until mid-March.

According to the head of the Civil Defense Service, Angelo Borrelli, in Italy, 79 people died from the coronavirus and became infected more than two and a half thousand.

For the first time, an outbreak of a new disease was recorded at the end of December 2019 in the 12 millionth Chinese city of Wuhan. Currently, the number of people infected in China has exceeded 80 thousand people, 2981 people have died.

Outside of China, the disease was recorded in 72 states, more than 10 thousand people fell ill with it, more than 160 died.
