Apple has lost two key top managers

UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY NEWS) — Two senior executives who have worked at Apple for many years and have been directly involved in the production of the most important products for the company are leaving their posts. It is reported by Bloomberg, citing sources.

Vice-President for Industrial Design Nick Forlenza, according to the publication, has retired, and Duko Pasmuiž – Vice President for Operations – discusses his departure in the near future.

Forlenza was responsible for industrial design at Apple, leading a team of specialists in manufacturing processes and equipment. For many years, Pasmuiž was one of the leaders responsible for organizing the production of the most important product for the company – the iPhone.

There are about a hundred ordinary (not “senior”) vice presidents in the Apple structure, each of them oversees certain tasks in one of the most profitable companies in the world.

The operations division is one of the most important for the company. It is here that they decide where to order components for future devices in order to ensure maximum quality at the lowest price, and how then it is more profitable to sell finished products.

Last year, they were busy optimizing supply chains taking into account the trade war between the US and China, and in recent weeks, taking into account the consequences of the coronavirus epidemic COVID-19.
