UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY) – The Chinese Foreign Ministry reacted to the overflight of the South China Sea by two US strategic bombers B-52 and asked Washington to stop creating tension in the region.
The spokesman of the Ministry, Hua Chunying, strongly criticized the presence of US bombers and asked the White House to stop accusing Beijing militarize this maritime area.
She added that US militarism would not scare China, which is determined to defend its national sovereignty and ensure security in the South China Sea.
Last week, United States military ships approached the artificial islands of China in this sea zone.
The United States explains the presence of its military ships and aircraft in the name of freedom of navigation, while Beijing claims the sovereignty of almost the entire South China Sea.
