Brazil: pilot successfully landed plane with defective landing gear

UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY NEWS) — An eyewitness filmed a difficult landing performed by a pilot of a private plane, who managed to land without serious consequences at the Afonso Pena Airport in the city of Curitiba in southern Brazil.

Last Saturday, February 22, the pilot reported problems with the nose landing gear. Airborne emergency services prepared for an airplane meeting.

The pilot neatly “perched” on the strip, holding the car for as long as possible on the main landing gear. After he extinguished the speed, the plane sank on his nose and rescuers immediately rushed to him.

According to local media, no one was injured in the incident. The runway on which the plane landed was closed for four hours.
