CHINA (OBSERVATORY) – China since May 1 lifted duties on the import of all medicines from cancer, including imported funds of Chinese traditional medicine, according to official Chinese media on Wednesday.
Value added tax for manufacturers and importers of medicines will also decrease.
According to the report of the Chinese State Cancer Institute, the market of antitumour agents in China exceeds 120 billion yuan ($ 19.1 billion).
According to the institute statistics, cancer diseases are diagnosed annually in China for 3.5 million people. The most common types of cancer in China: lung, breast and stomach cancer.
