China says most coal companies have recovered 95% of their production capacity

UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY NEWS) — The central government-run coal companies have resumed operations and returned with more than 95 percent of their production capacity, an official with the Chinese National Energy Administration said on Sunday.

Lu Junling, head of the coal department of the administration, told a press conference that the rates of return of production capacity of all coal companies reached 76.5 percent.

Lu said, the negative impact on coal production resulting from the outbreak of the Coronavirus in China has been largely contained.
