CHINA (OBSERVATORY) – Chinese Aerospace Aerospace magazine published a sketch of the Xian H-20, a promising strategy that is being designed in China.
The publication of the painting indicates that the Chinese Air Force Command has approved a final project for the design of its strategic aircraft.
Beijing officially confirmed earlier that it had begun designing the new generation strategic bomber in September 2016. The military command did not disclose details and specifications of the new aircraft and vowed to disclose them in the future.
Experts believe the Xian H-20 can be handed over to the Chinese air force in the mid-1920s. It is supposed to be designed as a single-wing aircraft using Steels’ radar-hiding technologies.
The Chinese army currently has 170 Xian H-6 jet bombers in various models. The aircraft is an upgraded version of the T-16, which Russia stopped production in 1993. It is capable of carrying nuclear weapons, with a range of 6,000 kilometers at about 1,000 km.
