CHINA (OBSERVATORY) – China’s representative to the UN, Zhaoxu Ma, called for further investigation of the Salisbury incident to establish the truth.
“We need further investigation to determine the nature of the incident and those responsible for it … China believes that a comprehensive, objective and impartial investigation must be conducted, and on the basis of solid evidence it is necessary to draw conclusions,” he said on Wednesday at a meeting of the Security Council UN.
He added that the parties must come to conclusions that will be accepted by all.
In the British Salisbury on 4 March, the former GRU officer Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia, convicted for espionage in favor of Great Britain, were poisoned, which provoked a major international scandal. London claims that the Russian state is involved in the poisoning of Fiddles with substance A-234, Moscow categorically denies it.
