CHINA (OBSERVATORY) – China opposes the use of force in international relations and calls for respect for the sovereignty of other countries. This is stated in the comments of the official representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Hua Chunying, about the US and its allies’ blow to Syria.
“As always, we oppose the use of force in international relations and call for respect for the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of other countries,” the Chinese Foreign Ministry said .
In Beijing, it was noted that any unilateral military operation bypassing the UN Security Council is contrary to the purposes and principles of the UN Charter, violates the basic principles and norms of international law and complicates the Syrian issue.
“China urges the relevant parties to return to the framework of international law and resolve this issue through dialogue and negotiations,” the Chinese foreign ministry said.
Also in China, political settlement is considered the only way to resolve the Syrian issue.
Earlier, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, called the West’s attack on Syria an insolent violation of international law.
