Chinese president warns of the “seriousness” of the situation with the outbreak of the Coronavirus

UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY NEWS) — On Saturday, Chinese President Xi Jinping described the situation in his country as a result of the rapid spread of the new “corona” killer virus as “dangerous.”

This came in statements made by Xi during a meeting of leaders of the ruling Communist Party, in conjunction with the Chinese New Year holiday, reported by China Central Television (CCTV).

At the meeting, the Chinese president stressed the urgent and expanded efforts made by the government to control the dangerous situation.

For its part, the government newspaper “China Daily” reported that the country’s authorities have suspended all tourist trips inside and outside the country.

Usually, Chinese tourists travel to regions inside and outside the country during the New Year celebrations, which Beijing announced cancellation due to fulfillment of the virus that has killed 41 people in China.

Earlier Saturday, the National Medical Commission of China announced that 41 people have died so far from the virus, while the number of infected people has reached one thousand and 287, of whom 237 are in serious condition.

The new Corona virus, which has come to be called the “Wuhan virus” due to the discovery of the first case of the virus in this city, is transmitted by air in cases of breathing, sneezing and coughing.

The first symptoms of infection with the virus, high body temperature, throat pain, coughing, shortness of breath, diarrhea, and in the advanced stages turn into pneumonia, kidney failure, may end in death.

China unveiled the mysterious virus for the first time on December 12 in Wuhan.
