Coronavirus: 7 countries that tourists should avoid

UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY NEWS) — Express has published a list of the safest countries tourists can travel to in the midst of the coronavirus epidemic.

Among these countries were Poland and Turkey.

Initially, the coronavirus appeared in the Chinese city of Wuhan, and it was in China that the epidemic reached its maximum spread. Therefore, tourists should refrain from traveling to this country.


In Singapore, 90 cases of coronavirus infection were recorded. Despite the fact that 53 people recovered, experts do not recommend traveling to this country. Moreover, the Kuwaiti authorities, for fear of the spread of the virus, suspended flights with Singapore and Japan.


Most cases in Japan are in metropolitan Tokyo. As of the evening of February 24, the number of cases in this country reached 850 people. Many tourists already refuse to go to Japan for fear of the virus.


In Thailand, 37 cases of coronavirus infection have been recorded. Two new cases have been identified recently. At the same time, as noted by the authorities, 22 people have already recovered. However, experts do not recommend tourists to go to Thailand.

South Korea

In South Korea, according to the latest data, the number of patients with coronavirus exceeded one thousand people and amounted to 1,146 patients. 22 patients recovered, but there were also deaths – seven patients died. It is noted that among the sick there are military personnel, therefore, the authorities imposed quarantine for them.


The country’s authorities are doing everything possible to prevent the spread of the virus on their territory. Checks of incoming tourists are strengthened, tourists from China are especially carefully checked. The camp recorded 21 cases of infection with the virus.


Earlier it was reported that Russian tourists began to cancel tours to Italy for fear of contracting a coronavirus. It is worth noting that not only tourists from Russia are afraid of an epidemic – tourists from other countries also cancel tours. Italy has become the epicenter of coronavirus in Europe – 11 people have already died here. It is noted that many Europeans fell ill with coronavirus precisely after visiting Italy.
