Death toll rises to 48 killed, with 112 wounded in Afghanistan bombing

AFGHANISTAN (OBSERVATORY) – Afghan officials say toll from Kabul bombing climbs to 48 killed, 112 wounded.

The number of victims in the explosion near the center for registration of voters in Kabul increased to 48. 112 people were injured, TOLOnews reports referring to the Afghan Ministry of Health.

Earlier, 31 dead and more than 50 wounded were reported.

The explosion occurred near the center for registration of voters and the center for issuing identity documents in the west of Kabul this morning.

The explosive device was activated by a suicide bomber. Responsibility for the attack was assumed by the terrorist organization “Islamic State” banned in Russia.
