UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY NEWS) — A source in the Syrian Ministry of Defense reported the details of the destruction of two Syrian Air Force aircraft over the de-escalation zone in Idlib.
According to him, Turkish F-16 fighters twice invaded Syrian airspace, while they attacked and shot down two aircraft of the Syrian Air Force.
Syrian pilots managed to successfully eject, they landed safely and are safe, reports TASS. It was previously reported that Turkish troops shot down two Syrian Su-24s in Idlib.
According to the Syrian state agency SANA, the pilots of the downed fighters were not injured.
The airspace above the Idlib de-escalation zone is closed from today. According to the Turkish Defense Ministry, two downed Su-24s belonging to the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad attacked Turkish aircraft.
A source in the Syrian Defense Ministry also said that Syrian air defense systems on Sunday, March 1, destroyed six shock drones of the Turkish armed forces in Idlib.
Destroyed drones attacked positions of government troops, supporting terrorists.
