Egyptian army launches unprecedented naval landing operation

UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY NEWS) — The Egyptian army carried out an unprecedented maritime landing operation using the Mistral helicopter carrier in the joint Egyptian-Greek Cypriot maritime training “Medusa-9”.

The pictures showed that the Egyptian army forces the process of landing in the Mediterranean Sea, where the conflict over gas in the eastern Mediterranean with Turkey.

The images also showed that the forces participating in the exercises using helicopters to support the landing process through the ships “Mistral”.

Egyptian Defense Minister Mohamed Ahmed Zaki, Greek Cypriot leader Nicos Panayotopoulos and Savas Angelidis held talks in Athens on Tuesday, signing a joint document condemning Turkey’s “aggression” in Cypriot economic waters.
