Erdogan commented on the attack on factories in Saudi Arabia

UNITED STATES, WASHINGTON (OBSERVATORY) — Turkish President Recep Erdogan during a press conference following the summit in Ankara commented on the accusations of Yemen in the attack on oil refineries in Saudi Arabia.

According to the president, Yemen is in a difficult condition, it needs to be “rebuilt.” He also called the situation in Palestine a “catastrophe”, expressing regret that “Muslims are fighting Muslims” in the state.

“Recall who was the first to bomb Yemen? And we will see where it started, ”Erdogan said during a press conference.

On the same day, the Arab coalition fighting in Yemen, led by Saudi Arabia, accused Iran of assaulting oil facilities located in the kingdom.

The Hussite Yemeni rebels, against whom the Arab coalition led by Saudi Arabia are fighting, said that it was they who attacked with the help of drones. US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said there is no evidence that the attack came from Yemen, and blamed Iran directly on it. Tehran denies the allegations.

On September 14, it became known that fires occurred at two oil refineries in Saudi Arabia due to drones attacks on Saturday night.

The attack was carried out by enterprises owned by the state oil and gas company Saudi Aramco in the areas of Abkaik in the east of the country and Khurais east of the capital of Riyadh.
