EU calls for restraint on Idlib

UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY NEWS) — European Union (EU) High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell stressed that tensions in Idlib should be stopped immediately.

In a post from his Twitter account, Borrell said “Tension in Idlib should stop immediately. Tension risks turning into an open international military conflict.”

“Also the tension endangers civilians and causes unacceptable human pain,” Borrel stressed, adding that “the EU is sad for all the lives and calls on all parties for restraint. It will consider any measures for protect EU security interests”.

Among other things Borell announced that the EU is in communication with all parties.
