EU is ready to allocate Greece 700 million euros

UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY NEWS) — The European Union is ready to assist Greece in the amount of 700 million euros against the backdrop of a new migration crisis, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said at a press conference in Greece.

“We can provide financial support to Greece in the amount of 700 million euros. It consists of 350 million, which are available immediately, as well as 350 million, which can be requested additionally,” said the President of the EC. The press conference was broadcast on the EU channel.

Ursula von der Leyen together with the President of the European Council Charles Michel and the President of the European Parliament David Sassoli amid the new migration crisis visit Greece on Tuesday and, in particular, the border with Turkey.
