EUROPEAN UNION (OBSERVATORY) – The National Criminal Agency of Great Britain (NCA) together with Europol have blocked the Webstresser.org website, which is linked to millions of cyberattacks around the world, Bleeping Computer reports.
According to journalists, the site helped criminals to order attacks, including on the leading banks of Great Britain.
They believe that cybercriminals used the Webstresser to attack financial institutions in 2017, when banks lost hundreds of thousands of pounds sterling.
Arrested six suspects in the creation of the service.
“Criminals around the world used webstresser.org, which could be rented for only 14.99 US dollars to launch more than four million attacks ,” said a representative of the national criminal agency.
