UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY NEWS) — A British national who stayed in Haute-Savoie after his return from Singapore, contaminated five people in France, announced the Minister of Health Agnès Buzyn Saturday February 8.
Five new cases of people infected with the coronavirus have been identified in France , four adults and a child, whose state of health does not inspire concern, announced on Saturday morning the Minister of Health Agnès Buzyn.
It is a “cluster”, that is to say a grouping of several cases around an initial case, which is a British national who stayed in Haute-Savoie, back from Singapore, detailed the Minister during a press point.
“All of the positive cases and contacts of this British national, ie 11 people in total, all of British nationality, resided in the same chalet and were hospitalized that night in three hospitals in Lyon, Saint-Etienne and Grenoble”, she said, adding that their clinical condition showed “no sign of seriousness”.
These new cases bring the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in France to eleven.

The new coronavirus has already infected more than 34,500 people and killed 722 patients in mainland China (excluding Hong Kong and Macao) – 86 additional deaths in 24 hours, the highest daily toll to date, health officials said on Saturday.
