France: number of coronavirus infected increased to 130

FRANCE (OBSERVATORY NEWS) — The number of patients with coronavirus in France has increased to 130 people, the BFMTV channel reported with reference to the head of the General Directorate of Health Jerome Salomon.

On Saturday, 100 cases of coronavirus in France were reported.

According to the latest data, of 130 infected, two died, 12 people recovered and 116 remained in hospitals, including nine in serious condition.

On December 31, 2019, Chinese authorities informed WHO of an outbreak of unknown pneumonia in the city of Wuhan in the central part of the country (Hubei Province).

Experts have identified the causative agent of the disease – this is a new coronavirus. WHO recognized the outbreak as an emergency of international importance and gave the disease its official name – COVID-19. The number of infected in mainland China exceeded 79.8 thousand people, 2870 died, over 41.6 thousand were cured.
