FRANCE (OBSERVATORY) – A decision on military strikes on Syrian chemical weapons facilities will be made within days after further consultations with the United States and Britain, French President Emmanuel Macron said on Tuesday.
“The third element is France’s red lines,” Macron told a news conference with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. These red lines agreed upon by other powers have nothing to do with the discussions in the UN Security Council.”
“In this context, we will continue to exchange technical and strategic information with our partners, especially Britain and America, and we will announce our decision in the coming days.”
He said that if it was decided to strike will not target the allies of the Syrian government or any particular person, but it will target the facilities of the Syrian government chemical.
