French president says coronavirus epidemic ahead

UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY NEWS) — France will face an epidemic of coronavirus, and the task of doctors is to effectively combat the disease, French President Emmanuel Macron said on Thursday.

On Thursday morning, Macron arrived at the Pitie-Salpetriere Hospital in Paris in the 13th arrondissement of Paris. It was in this facility on Wednesday night that one of the Frenchmen infected with coronavirus died.

“We are facing a crisis, an epidemic is coming … Our duty is to confront it in the best way,” said the French leader during a meeting with hospital staff. He assured the doctors of his support.

The number of infected in mainland China has already exceeded 78 thousand people, 2744 died, over 32 thousand were cured. Cases of infection outside the PRC were recorded, according to the latest WHO data, in 37 countries, the number of infected reached 2790, 44 people died.
