G7 countries agreed to do “everything possible” to limit damage from coronavirus

G7 finance ministers and central bank governors have agreed to “do everything possible” to limit the damage from the rapidly spreading coronavirus, US Treasury Secretary Stephen Mnuchin said on Tuesday.

The Trump administration closely monitors the disease and its impact on public health, supply chains, markets and the economy as a whole, and coordinates efforts with international organizations and other countries, said Mnuchin, speaking on the budget committee of the US House of Representatives.

Mnuchin said he talked with finance ministers and G7 central bankers on Tuesday and that they agreed to “do everything possible to limit the spread of coronavirus and limit the damage it causes.”
