SYRIA (OBSERVATORY) – Russian air defense systems on Syrian bases Tartus and Khmeimim did not record the participation of French aviation in strikes against Syria. This was stated by Chief of the Main Operations Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Colonel-General Sergei Rudskoy.
According to him, Russian air defense means timely detected and controlled rocket launches from both sea and air carriers of the United States and Great Britain.
“The announced participation of French aviation has not been fixed,” Rudskoy said.
Earlier, French leader Emmanuel Macron confirmed France’s participation in a joint operation with the US in Syria.
After this, the Elysee Palace published a video of the take-off of military aircraft that took part in the operation.
