GERMANY (OBSERVATORY) – German Chancellor Angela Merkel said that Germany does not plan to join possible military actions on Syrian territory, the website of Die Welt reported on Thursday.
“Merkel states that Germany will not take part in possible military actions in Syria,” the publication notes.
At the same time, the Chancellor stressed that Berlin “is doing everything to show that the use of chemical weapons is unacceptable.”
Earlier, the US announced the possibility of an early strike on Syria. In addition, British Prime Minister Teresa May asked all ministers to return to the capital to decide whether the country should take part in the planned US strike on Syria. The question of the expediency of attacking Syria is also being studied by the authorities of France.
