UNITED STATES, WASHINGTON (OBSERVATORY) — Hamas has launched a large-scale security operation in the Gaza Strip to arrest those responsible for two explosions that killed three of its members, while the media confirmed that the respondents are close to IS.
The operation resulted in the arrest of a number of people in Gaza City on suspicion of links to the bombings, which occurred last night south and west of the city.
The spokesman of the Ministry of Interior in Gaza, Iyad al-Bazm, that there is progress in the investigation after the security services revealed the first leads of the bombing.
He pointed out that the security situation in Gaza is stable and that the two explosions “isolated action” will not affect the stability of the security situation in the Gaza Strip.
Al-Bazam accused “suspicious hands whose objectives intersect with the goals of the Israeli occupation of being behind the sinful and awful crime,” adding that “the Interior will strike with an iron hand anyone who tries to tamper with the state of security and stability.”
