Hong Kong recorded a fourth death from coronavirus

US, WASHINGTON (NEWS OBSERVATORY) — The fourth case of death from a disease caused by a new coronavirus was recorded on Friday in Hong Kong. This was reported by the radio station RTHK, citing health authorities.

This is an 80-year-old patient who lived in the North Point area. According to the latest data, the number of confirmed cases of infection with a new type of coronavirus in Hong Kong has reached 132.

Due to the epidemiological threat, tourist, cultural and sports facilities were closed in the city, mass events and classes in schools were canceled. A mandatory two-week quarantine regime was introduced for all those who enter here from mainland China, South Korea and Iran.

Local authorities also announced plans to introduce quarantine from March 14 for all visitors from Italy, as well as areas affected by the outbreak of COVID-19 in France, Germany, Spain and Japan.
