UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY NEWS) — Korean stylists sometimes recall the design roots of the Hyundai brand, and judging by the teasers of the latest concept car, this time it was not possible to access the archives.
The rest of the Hyundai Prophecy promises to be extremely modern.
“Hyundai Prophecy does not follow trends. It emphasizes the eternal beauty that will withstand any test of time,” said SunUp Lee, head of Hyundai’s global design center.
Meanwhile, the exterior of the concept is an unambiguous allusion to the future. It is alleged that the appearance of Prophecy is made in accordance with the latest design policies of the company, and moreover, that is how future Hyundai electric cars will look like.
Accordingly, Hyundai’s electric traction will receive smooth contours, dynamic silhouettes, an abundance of LEDs on the body (possibly able to draw pixel pictograms, as was already shown on the Hyundai 45 concept) and muscular wheel arches. But whether the concept itself will survive to the assembly line is still unknown.
It is also unclear which power plant the Prophecy was equipped with, but given its appearance and the declared status of the sports sedan, it should be very powerful.
Hyundai promises to tell about its plans for the electrification of the serial model line during the public debut of the concept. It is scheduled for March 3 and will be held as part of the opening of the international motor show in Geneva.
