UNITED STATES, WASHINGTON (OBSERVATORY) — The outbreak of fighting with the Lebanese guerrilla group Hezbollah on Sunday appeared to have ended after the guerrilla group fired anti-tank rockets and Israel responded with air strikes and artillery fire, the Israeli army said.
“Hezbollah carried out the attack … but failed to take casualties,” an Israeli army spokesman said. “The clash on the ground … seems to be over but the strategic position remains and the IDF remains on high alert.”
