
US, WASHINGTON (NEWS OBSERVATORY) — The International Monetary Fund (IMF) approved on Thursday a tranche of a loan for Moldova in the amount of about $ 20 million.
“One of the key goals achieved was the restoration of the banking sector, which along with other reforms helped strengthen macroeconomic and financial stability,” the fund said in a statement.
In 2016, the IMF approved a program of assistance to Moldova to support economic and financial reforms, the country as a result has already received about $ 178.7 million.
