IMF believes that China’s economy is solid in the medium to long term, despite SK

UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY NEWS) — The International Monetary Fund said on Thursday that there is a lot of uncertainty surrounding the rapidly spreading Coronavirus, which cannot be predicted about its impact on the Chinese and global economies, but added that it hoped to have greater awareness when the G20 countries meet in Saudi Arabia later this month.

Jerry Rice, spokesman for the International Monetary Fund, said that the Fund welcomed China’s efforts to contain the spread of the virus and reduce its economic impact, and was ready to help Beijing as needed.

“In the medium to long term, we remain confident that China’s economy is solid,” Rice told a regular news conference.
