In East Ghouta, almost 60,000 civilians returned to their homes

EAST GHOUTA (OBSERVATORY) –┬áIn Syria’s Eastern Ghouta, 59,000 civilians returned to their homes, including 860 people in the city of Dumas, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.

“The total number of returnees to places of former residence in East Ghouta was 59,003 civilians, including 860 in the city of Dumas,” the report said.

It is noted that for the previous day 3,741 civilians returned to their homes in East Ghouta, 450 of them to the city of Dumas.

It is reported that the situation in East Ghouta is stable, peaceful life is being established. The main activity of the Center for Reconciliation at the moment is the measures for the early return of civilians to the settlements of East Hutia, freed from militants, as well as rendering humanitarian and medical assistance to them.

“For this purpose, there is ongoing interaction with the Committee of National Reconciliation and the administrations of the settlements of Eastern Ghouta,” the report said.

According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, in the city of the Duma in East Ghouta, with the help of construction equipment transferred by the Russian side, blockages are being cleared for the restoration of traffic. Repair brigades restore water and electricity in the city.
