India will strengthen the security of US and Israeli embassies

UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY NEWS) — Indian authorities have decided to strengthen the security of the US and Israeli embassies in response to threats of retaliation from Iran , sources in the Indian special services told RIA.

This decision was made after the special services submitted a report recommending “take adequate measures” to ensure “for both the United States and Israel the” security “of diplomatic and commercial interests, facilities, as well as employees working in these areas” . In the messages sent to a number of departments of the country on January 4 and 8, it was proposed to strengthen the protection of such structures.

On Wednesday night, the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced a retaliation operation for the assassination of General Qassem Suleimani as a result of an American special operation in Iraq. Land-to-ground missiles were fired from Iran at the Ein al-Assad base in western Iraq and the base in Erbil, where the US military contingent is located, who lead the international coalition against IS.

According to Washington, none of the US citizens were injured in the blow, only material damage was done.

On Thursday, the Iranian Tasnim agency reported that, according to the head of the security department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Iran, Abdollah Araghi, after missile strikes against American targets, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps “will take more severe revenge on the enemy.”
