Iran, coronavirus death toll rises to 92

US, WASHINGTON (NEWS OBSERVATORY) — The death toll from the new coronavirus (Covid-19) in Iran rises to 92, while the number of confirmed cases to 2,922.

Public Relations Officer at the Iranian Ministry of Health, Kianoosh Jahanpour, said in a press conference that 15 more people were killed by Covid-19 and that 586 new cases have been identified since yesterday.

Jahanpour reported that the number of deaths nationwide has increased to 92, while the number of confirmed cases to 2,922.

Meanwhile, he also announced that 552 people in Iran have been recovered and released from hospital.

The Iranian official said more cases have been confirmed in Tehran and Gilan.

According to the official Iranian news agency, as part of the decision taken by the Coronation Center for War and Prevention, league matches 1, 2 and 3 have been suspended until March 20 on Friday.
