IRAN (OBSERVATORY) – If the US withdraws from the agreement on the Iranian nuclear program, Tehran can take a series of unpleasant measures for Washington.
This was stated by the Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif.
According to Zarif, in this case, Iran will act based on its own interests, and can take measures both within the framework of the concluded agreement and those located outside of it.
The agreement on the settlement of the long-standing problem of the Iranian atom was reached on July 14, 2015 with the help of six mediating countries, including Russia, the United States, France, Britain, Germany and China. The elaborated plan of action made it possible to remove from Iran the financial and economic sanctions imposed on it by the UN Security Council, the European Union and the United States.
The United States is currently in favor of amending the agreements and threatens to withdraw from the deal if their terms are not accepted.
