Iran will notify the EU of its decision to reduce its nuclear obligations

UNITED STATES, WASHINGTON (OBSERVATORY) — Iran will notify the European Union within hours of its decision on a further reduction in its obligations under a 2015 nuclear deal with world powers, Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif was quoted as saying on Thursday.

“I will inform (EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini) within two hours about Iran’s decision to be implemented on Friday,” IRNA quoted Zarif as saying.

“Of course these steps can be reversed if the EU fulfills its promises to salvage the agreement,” the minister added.
