Iraqi court sentenced to life imprisonment of 19 Russians accused of belonging to IS

IRAQ (OBSERVATORY) –The Iraqi judiciary on Sunday sentenced to life imprisonment for 19 Russians after being convicted of belonging to the organization Daesh terrorist.

A member of the Council of the Russian Federation for the Chechen Republic Ziad Sbsby, told RT on Sunday that at least 60 women from Russia, will appear before the Iraqi courts on charges of crossing the illegal border, and collusion with the Daesh organization.

He pointed out that despite the denial of most of these charges, but the Iraqi judiciary may be sentenced some of them sentences ranging, depending on the seriousness of the charges, between imprisonment, life and execution.

He pointed out that the Iraqi judiciary in April sentenced to death by hanging on the citizens of Azerbaijan and 3 of Kyrgyzstan, and in February, similar sentences were issued against 16 women from Turkey.
