Islamic Jihad calls on Arabs and Muslims to stop coordination with US

UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY NEWS) — The Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement called, on Saturday, the League of Arab States and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to stop coordination with Washington and withdraw their ambassadors; rejecting the Israeli attacks on Jerusalem and the rights of the Palestinian people (referring to the American Century deal).

Khaled Al-Batsh, a leader in the movement, said in a press conference held at the Al-Omari Mosque in Gaza City: “What is happening in Jerusalem is that the Americans took the role of confrontation with the Palestinian people and came to stand side by side with the occupation and take it upon themselves to liquidate the Palestine issue in the shadow of an Arab-Islamic failure.”

He added that “international law and international justice are lost and used to pass the plans of the Israeli enemy under American auspices.”

He continued: “Our people in the West Bank, Jerusalem, Gaza and everywhere there must be Palestinians to rise up against the American Century deal.”

He pointed out that the Palestinian factions “are working hard to thwart the deal of the century that detracts from the rights of our people.”

Al-Batsh called for “ending the Palestinian division and achieving national unity to confront all Israeli and American plans.”

In a press release, Islamic Jihad announced a series of activities and events in all mosques in the Gaza Strip to support our Jerusalemites in the face of what is called the “Deal of the Century”.

The movement called on the Palestinians “for the general opposition and the readiness to defend Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque and to travel to it, and to confront Israeli-American aggression, aggression and terrorism under the so-called deal of the century.”

And Friday, US President Donald Trump said he intends to unveil his plan to settle the conflict in the Middle East before next Tuesday, when he will meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the leader of the Israeli opposition, Benny Gantz.

On Thursday, the White House announced that Trump will host Netanyahu and leader of the “Blue and White” coalition, Benny Gantz, on Tuesday.

And “The Deal of the Century” is a peace plan prepared by the Trump administration, and it is said that it is based on forcing the Palestinians to make unfair concessions in the interest of Israel, including the status of occupied East Jerusalem, and the right of return of refugees.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has repeatedly declared during the past two years the Palestinians’ rejection of the “deal of the century”, because it takes Jerusalem, refugees and borders from the negotiating table.
