Islamic Jihad resumes shelling of Israeli border cities

UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY NEWS) — The Palestinian Islamic Jihad group again began shelling Israeli border cities an hour after the announcement of the cessation of rocket fire, which lasted from Sunday.

“We announced the end of the military response … but the enemy did not comply (ceasefire – ed.) And fired on our military bases and our fighters. We announce that we responded to this attack and warn the enemy that it’s not worth checking us “We confirm that the“ fire back to fire ”formula works and your threats do not scare us,” said Al-Quds Brigade (Islamic Jihad military wing) spokesman Abu Hamza on Twitter.

Another exacerbation at the border of the Palestinian enclave began after Israeli soldiers attacked a group of Palestinians who were trying to lay an explosive device at the separation fence on Sunday morning.

From the Palestinian enclave in Gaza, dozens of missiles have been fired over Israeli territory over the past 24 hours. Air alerts were sounded on Monday in Ashkelon, Sderot and border villages.

The rear services of the Israeli army decided to cancel school activities in the south of the country. IDF tanks and aircraft retaliate against Islamic Jihad targets in Gaza.

The railway connection between Ashkelon and Be’er Sheva was terminated, roads in the areas bordering Gaza were closed.
