Islamic State claimed responsibility for the Kabul attack, which killed dozens of people

AFGHANISTAN (OBSERVATORY) –¬†At least 25 people were killed, including eight journalists, and 50 others were injured in two bombings in the Afghan capital Kabul.

Officials said the first attack was carried out by a suicide bomber riding a motorcycle in the Shashidhara district, where the headquarters of the Defense Ministry, intelligence complex and NATO headquarters.

The second blast occurred shortly after the first bombing near a place where journalists gathered to cover the bombing of the first bombing.

The Islamic State Organization claimed responsibility for the attacks.
