Israel installs spy systems near the White House

UNITED STATES, WASHINGTON (OBSERVATORY) — Mobile phone surveillance devices found near the White House and other sensitive locations around Washington have reportedly been set up by Tel-Aviv, US media Politico reports. Indeed, according to the testimony of three former senior officials who commented on this information, investigations conducted by the US government concluded that Israel was behind the placement of these devices for the purpose of spying on President Donald Trump.

While US President Donald Trump is proud of his close and friendly relationship with the Israeli regime, Tel Aviv has reportedly been spying on Washington.

As a result, over the past two years, coinciding with Trump’s presidential mandate, small spy devices called “StingRay” have been installed near the White House and other important government buildings in Washington. These devices pretend to be transmitters of telecommunications but their real task is to locate mobile phones and extract their credentials.

These devices, whose industrial name is “IMSI-catchers”, are able to retrieve the content of used calls and Internet data.

An IMSI-catcher (International Mobile Subscriber Identity) is a surveillance equipment used to intercept mobile phone traffic data and to track the location data of terminals, and therefore of their users.

A former US authority has said that these devices may have been installed to spy on Trump, his senior advisers and close associates, and that despite the White House’s claims, it remains unclear to what extent the Israeli mission has been successful.

The Politico editorial states that Donald Trump is known for his lax approach to White House security protocols. The newspaper reported in May 2018 that the president often used a mobile insufficiently secure to communicate with friends and confidants. In October 2018, the New York Times reported that “Chinese spies often listened” to Trump’s calls on his mobile phone.

United States Department of Homeland Security officials who discovered spy devices in various locations in Washington in 2018 are convinced, after extensive research and cooperation with the FBI and other security agencies, that Israeli agents had installed these devices.

Trump administration spokespersons, the FBI, the US Department of Homeland Security and US intelligence declined to comment on Poltico’s report and revelations from former US authorities.

“Even after the federal police and other intelligence agencies concluded that the Israelis had installed these devices near the White House, Trump has still not taken any steps to publicly or secretly sanction Tel Aviv,” he said. an old senior US security authority in criticizing the negligence of the Trump administration.

Citing anonymous sources, Politico wrote: “Although the information has been known to the relevant agencies (FBI, DHS, NSA and the CIA), the Trump government has not blamed the Israeli government or taken any action against he, unlike most other cases where blatant foreign espionage incidents were discovered on American soil. ”

Contacted by Politico, Israeli embassy spokesman Elad Strohmayer denied that Israel had placed these devices and said: “These allegations are absolute nonsense. Israel does not conduct espionage in the United States, period. ”

Note that this “scandal” security broke out 48 hours after the dismissal of the hawk John Bolton from the post of National Security Advisor. Is Israel behind this surprise dismissal?
