Israel: We managed to deceive Hezbollah

UNITED STATES, WASHINGTON (OBSERVATORY) — Israeli army spokesman Brigadier General Ronen Menelis claimed that Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah did not understand what happened recently during the exchange of fire between the two sides.

In an interview with Hebrew Channel 2, Menulis said Thursday that the Israeli army had succeeded in “deceiving” Hizbullah, especially regarding the “evacuation of the wounded”, which was revealed to be representative after the recent attack against Israel.

He attributed this to what he called Israel’s policy of “deception” during the past period.

“As far as we know, Nasrallah did not understand what was happening over the course of two hours.”

Asked whether Nasrallah “came out of hiding”, he said that Israel had succeeded in “breaking the credibility” of Hezbollah’s secretary general, saying that the fabricated operation to “evacuate the wounded” had enabled the incident to end without casualties.

“I think we have created a crack in Nasrallah’s credibility in Israel and Lebanon, as he often lied, and we succeeded in breaking through the space he created around him,” he said.

The maneuvers conducted by the Israeli army during the past years have been successful and have served their purpose and objectives.
